About me.
My name is Ruth Wooster who is a qualified Interior Designer / Painter with two DipHE. I got interested with interior decorating using art in my work since the year 2003, which evolved when I was off sick long term by doing interior design projects around my home.
I took up an e course in Interior Decorator, which I succeeded by gaining a certificate, and I have got a Construction Skill Certification Scheme Card to show that I am competent at my job and trained in health / safety procedures which are about raising standards to reduce accidents.
In my previous employment I had worked voluntary at NACRO Organisation doing art / painting / design projects to create a more attractive, inspirational, and stimulating place for the clientele.
The trainees did gain something from the projects by getting involved, as it was linked to their ASDAN / WWO’s qualification.
I am a Security Chairperson and Health/Safety Officer (Voluntary) for the Alban Neve Deaf Association.
To fulfil my role, I liaised with the local authorities and trustees in order to make the Alban Neve Deaf Centre safer. On a quarterly basis, I organise meetings and correspondence by emails or typetalk minicom in between on any update.
I had worked with Probation Services under the Community Pay Back Scheme with the offenders on the cleanup of the campus, where all overgrown shrubs were pruned right down and litter all cleared up.
In near future I will use them to do the painting.
